Hunting Water Buffalo in Australia

High quality Buffalo and big game hunting safaris in central Arnhemland in the tropical Northern Territory (NT) of Australia. Species include Asiatic Water Buffalo, Wild Ox (Scrub Bull) and Wild Boar.

Trophy sizes ranges from 90-110 SCI with many 45-50" wide heavy horns taken in this concessions. Step back in time, exploring and hunting on foot with your classic Double rifle or Express bolt action. Hunts can be physically demanding, so a high level of fitness is required. Bowhunters will appreciate their experience and the varying terrain.

Banteng

If you wish to hunt Banteng as part of your package, we can arrange this in your itinerary. The Banteng hunts are properly conducted in Coburg Peninsular and N/W Arnhemland, NT. The top of Australia is the only place in the world to hunt truely wild Banteng, a very exclusive and sought after big game trophy which will grace any trophy room. A Banteng bull can also be a very agressive animal, and a large caliber rifle with premium soft points is recommended. Camps are very comfortable on the scenic coastal line, quality guides will ensure you enjoy a great Banteng hunt.

Arnhemland is like another country of almost 100,000 square kilometers, and is one of the worlds last wild frontiers, where local Aborigine people live off the land in small communities, hunting, fishing and following traditional values. It is a place where time stands still, with no farms, no fences or sealed roads. Trek along century old Buffalo trails in scenic valleys bordered by rock escarpments leading to streams, rivers and billabongs edged with tropical pandanus. Hunt this heavy cover or trek the open plains and rugged hills to glass herds of roaming Buffalo. Arnhemland offers traditional hunters real wilderness big game hunting for Buffalo, Wild Ox and some Wild Boar.
